Oakland based dog and puppy trainers Steve Bettcher and Patrick Gibbons have been helping East Bay Area dog owners train their puppies and dogs for over 10 years. What makes a good dog trainer? Pat and Steve, both natives of Oakland, have had animals all their lives and enjoy the special bond that training a dog creates. They are knowledgeable about how dogs and puppies learn and about how they communicate. Both trainers are proficient in using various dog training methodologies.
But they believe that the real key to their success is in human communication... in teaching dog owners to understand their pets and learn the proper skills that make dog ownership so enjoyable. Dog Squad owner-trainers Steve Bettcher, formerly Steve Bettcher Dog Training, and Patrick Gibbons of Gibbons Family Dog Training, merged their Oakland/East Bay Area companies in 2005 to form The Dog Squad.
Steve Bettcher: Professional Dog and Puppy Trainer
Steve, born in Oakland and raised in the East Bay, has over 10 years of dog training experience in both obedience and agility. Two of his own dogs have won three National Agility Championships and were awarded The NADAC Agility Trail Championship.
